🚨 Community Alert – Theft from Motor Vehicle

Incident Summary:
Between Thursday 7th May 2200hrs and Friday 8th May 0932hrs, a vehicle was parked locked and secure on the roadside.

During this period, unknown person(s) approached the vehicle and gained entry by unknown means, causing no visible damage. Once inside, items were removed from within the vehicle before the offender(s) made off unseen in an unknown direction.

It has since been reported that bank cards stolen during the incident were later used to make fraudulent purchases.

Crime Prevention Advice for Residents:

Be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.

Avoid leaving valuables, wallets, or bank cards in your vehicle.

Consider using steering wheel locks or additional security measures, even when the vehicle is locked.

Check that your vehicle is properly secured, including using keyless entry protection (e.g. Faraday pouches if applicable).

Monitor bank accounts regularly and report any unauthorised transactions immediately.
